From June to September 2025 I was commissioned to build a giant hanging structure of a hot air balloon for the UK's award winning independent toy store, My Small World. The piece is 1.5 metres in diameter and is currently a permanent fixture on the ceiling of the shop. It consists of a curved steel framework, with painted canvas stretched between the slats and draped in netting.

This wonderful shop hugely encourages play- for all ages- and offers a safe space for neurodivergent people to feel at home. Having my work here is a massive privilege and I'm glad I could play a part in the joy this shop brings the local community. The piece is built to mirror the retro, colourful aesthetics of the store through the choice of colour palette and the decorative elements to the piece.
