[MAKE A GO KART] is a prototype with the vision of a future where everyone has access to making, everyone can shape their realities from the mundane to the exciting. This kart will act like a model for the potential behind the scrap we discard day- to day. Through humour and irony I aim to encourage people to take risks, to play and to make. Get huge calves, build your transport. MOVE, MOVE, MOVE.

The go kart 'test run' was a public event where I attached fireworks to the back of the kart as a humorous attempt to make a jet engine. Taking influence from classic kart racing and the modern phenomenon of 'boy racers,' the irony of this work expresses a core element of play. Humour captures peoples attention, it makes them stop and think.
